There are many Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs) that exist outside of the Annual Election Period (AEP).

For example, anyone with a Medicare Advantage plan has the chance to switch plans one time from Jan 1 - Mar 31. Additionally, those with Medicaid (or Medi-Cal in CA) can switch one time per quarter, outside of AEP.

Many other SEPs also exist.
