This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or fill out a form from choiceguardinsurance.com (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We refer to this information as “Client Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Client Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Client Information that we collect generally to fulfill any requests placed through the Site (including recommending a plan or plan enrollment when requested by you). Additionally, we use this Client Information to:
Communicate with you;
Screen requests for potential risk or fraud; and
When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We also use this information to conduct research on Site visitor behavior.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site. DoubleClick: We use Google Analytics remarketing codes to log when users view specific pages or take specific actions on a website. This allows us to provide targeted advertising in the future. If you do not wish to receive this type of advertising from us in the future you can opt out using the DoubleClick opt-out page or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

We also share only the necessary Personal Information with third parties to facilitate the enrollment of the plan when you submit an enrollment application on our website. These third parties, including insurance companies, are also committed to the protection of your data, however, we make no warranties regarding the complete security of these applications, since we are unable to alter their applications.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. DATA RETENTION
When you submit a request through the Site, we retain your Client Information for our records for a period of at least 10 years, in accordance with Medicare regulations. Unless and until you ask us to delete this information, it will remain on our records. You may also request that we modify your Client Information. We continue to store your data for analytics and marketing analytics purposes, even if you disenroll from a plan or discontinue using our service, unless you specifically request that we delete your data.

We never sell your data to third parties for commercial purposes. However, in the event of a sale, merger, consolidation, liquidation, reorganization, or acquisition, data may be transferred as part of the business assets, but it would continue to be subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Policy, unless you agree otherwise.

MINORS
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

SECURITY BREACH
In the event of a data breach, we aim to notify user’s whose data may have been involved in the breach within 72 hours of detection via email and other industry standard conventions, including which data may have been affected steps that can be taken to minimize their risk and further protect their data.

CHANGES
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
